Ngjipe Beach is one of the most beautiful places along the Ionian Coast. It is the end point of the Canyon with the same name cut through the rugged mountains from the power of water flowing from inland into the sea. The canyon is 2 km long and 100 m deep.
The place has everything that makes its beauty unimaginable. The red walls of the canyon, are in total contrast with the picture-perfect white pebble beach hidden between two cliffs falling dramatically into the sea.
Even the colors of the sea change astonishingly from crystal clear revealing the white pebbles near the shore to sapphire, turquoise and deep cobalt mirroring the endless sky above.

The hike is easy and follows a well-marked and prepared trail. It starts winding through thick bushes and sporadic trees, that thin gradually as you approach the beach. There are some panoramic points along the trail.
You can spend the entire day on the beach or even stay there overnight. You will follow the same trail to return to your starting point.

This trail starts and ends at the trailhead near the village of Ilias, in the mountains above the Albanian Ionian Coast. You have to drive to the starting point of the hike yourself. Free and paid parking is available nearby.
