Just 27 kilometres from Tirana, today’s hike leads to the hidden pond known as the Cyclop’s Eye. Tucked within the Krraba Gorge, it is around 20 meters wide. It’s fed by a small branch of the Erzeni River, which flows into the pond as a gentle waterfall emerging from nearby rock formations and surrounded by lush vegetation. The peaceful atmosphere, broken only by the sound of running water, makes it an ideal place to spend a quiet day.

The hike starts from the village of Krrabë, at an elevation of about 430 meters. The path climbs steadily along a mix of village lanes and dirt tracks, gradually revealing open views of the surrounding hills. As you head east, you’ll pass small fields and traditional stone houses typical of the area.
After reaching the last buildings of the village, the trail begins a descent into the gorge of the Murdharë River. The terrain here becomes rockier, with a few switchbacks leading you to the Cyclop’s Eye.
After a break by the pond, the return follows an alternate route that leads past the Kërraba climbing sectors. From there, we reconnect with the original path and continue back the same way to Krrabë, where the vehicle will be waiting for the drive back to Tirana.

This is a private tour. Pickup is available from your hotel or another address of your choice, provided it lies no more than 3 km from Tirana city centre. You will be dropped off at the same point when the tour ends.
